Ronnie Rancifer, born in 1952, is an American musician. He is known for playing the keyboards. Ronnie was a key part of the famous music group The Jackson 5. He played with them from their early days in Gary, Indiana all the way through their time at Motown, a big music company.

Ronnie Rancifer and The Jackson 5

Ronnie Rancifer was the keyboard player for The Jackson 5. This group included Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael. When they were with Motown, Ronnie and their drummer, Johnny Jackson, were introduced as cousins of the Jackson brothers. However, Ronnie and Johnny were not actually related to the Jackson family.

Ronnie didn't just play music. He also helped write songs for The Jackson 5. One famous song he co-wrote is "I Am Love." This song was on their 1974 album, Dancing Machine. Ronnie stayed with the group until 1975.

A Career in Music

After his time with The Jackson 5, Ronnie Rancifer continued his music career. He became a songwriter in Los Angeles. During the 1980s, he worked with other artists who were also part of the Motown record label. He also went on tour with the famous singer Smokey Robinson.
