Rosa María Cid López was born on January 29, 1956, in Spain. She is a well-known expert in history, especially interested in the lives of women and how gender roles have changed over time. She even led a group called the Spanish Association Investigating the History of Women.

Rosa María Cid López started her journey in learning at the University of Oviedo. In 1979, she earned her first degree in Philosophy and History. Later, in 1986, she completed her PhD. Her special research project was about "The cult to the emperor in Numidia of Diocletian". This showed her deep interest in ancient history.

Her Work as a Professor

Since 2011, Professor Cid López has been teaching Ancient History at the University of Oviedo. She leads a special group there called the Deméter Group. This group studies motherhood, gender, and family life in ancient times.
