She appeared in many action films that featured Black actors and stories. Some of her well-known movies include Shaft's Big Score!, The Black Six, and Friday Foster.

Rosalind Beatrice Medlock was born on January 15, 1940. Her birthplace was Houston, Texas. She later moved to Los Angeles, California. There, she wanted to start a career in acting.
While working as a waitress, a talent scout discovered her. This was her big break into the entertainment world.
Her Acting Career
Rosalind Miles made her first movie appearance in 1971. She played a character named Julie in the film How's Your Love Life?. Before her most famous role, she also appeared on television.
Notable Film Roles
In 1972, Rosalind got a very important role. She played Arna Asby, the girlfriend of the main character, Shaft. This was in the action movie Shaft's Big Score!.
After this film, Rosalind took on a lead role in 1974. She played Erica in the crime film I Spit on Your Corpse. This movie was also known as Girls For Rent. She also appeared in other films like The Black Six (1973) and The Manhandlers (1974).
In 1975, Rosalind acted alongside Pam Grier. They were in the action film Friday Foster. Rosalind played Cloris Boston, a fashion model.
Later Career and Retirement
In 1977, Rosalind tried out for a big role. She auditioned to play Coretta Scott King in a TV mini-series. This series was about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. However, Cicely Tyson got the role.
Rosalind's last acting job was in 1978. It was in a TV movie called To Kill A Cop. In 1981, she was part of a theater production. It was called Guys and Dolls and she worked with her husband, Todd Davis. Rosalind Miles stopped acting in 1982.

Rosalind Miles was married three times during her life. She did not have any children. Her first marriage was to James W. Powell. Later, she married Robert L. Miles. Her third marriage was to actor Todd Davis. They were married until his death in 2013.
From 1973 to 1976, Rosalind also dated actor and martial artist Jim Kelly.
Rosalind Miles passed away at her home in Los Angeles, California. She died on February 8, 2022, at the age of 82.
