Rosanna "Rosie" Waterland (born May 30, 1986) is a funny Australian comedian, writer, and actress. She became well-known in 2013 for her hilarious recaps of The Bachelor Australia. Rosie is also famous for her popular books, The Anti Cool Girl and Every Lie I've Ever Told.

Early Life and Education
Rosie Waterland was born in New South Wales, Australia, on May 30, 1986. She is the second of four sisters. Rosie had a challenging childhood. She lived in over 100 different houses, including with foster families.
Her father passed away when she was eight years old. Her mother passed away in January 2024. Rosie lived in foster homes from age 14. She also attended 20 different schools during her childhood.
Television Work
Rosie Waterland first became popular in 2013. This was because of her funny recaps of the first season of The Bachelor Australia.
Waterland has worked as a writer and actress on several Australian TV shows. These include ABC's Tonightly with Tom Ballard and Channel Ten's Sisters. She also helped create and starred in a political documentary series. This show was called What's Going On: With Jamila Rizvi and Rosie Waterland. It first aired in 2016.
Books by Rosie
Waterland's first book, The Anti Cool Girl, came out in 2015. It was published by HarperCollins. This book was nominated for several awards. It won the Australian Book Industry Awards People's Choice Award for Best New Writer of the Year.
The Anti Cool Girl sold over 45,000 copies in just a few months. This made it one of the most popular young Australian memoirs at the time.
Her second book, Every Lie I've Ever Told, was published in July 2017. In 2019, Rosie signed a deal to write two more fiction books. The first of these is planned for 2024.
Besides her own books, Waterland has also written for other collections of stories. These include Mothers and Others and Best Australian Comedy Writing.
Live Stage Shows
Rosie Waterland performed her first live comedy show in March 2016. It was called "My Life On The Couch (with vodka)". She performed this show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. She then took the show on a sold-out tour across Australia.
She toured Australia again with her second show, "Crazy Lady", in September 2017.
Waterland's next show, Kid Chameleon, started touring in February 2020. However, the tour was paused because of the pandemic. Kid Chameleon was planned to be filmed as a comedy special in 2024.
Podcasts
In 2017, Waterland created a podcast based on her first book. It was called Mum Says My Memoir Is A Lie. This podcast won an award in 2018 for Best Original Podcast.
Mum Says My Memoir Is A Lie was very popular. It reached the top of the iTunes Podcast chart in its first week.
Waterland created another podcast in 2019 called Just The Gist. This podcast won the 2020 Australian Podcast Award for Best Entertainment Podcast.
Personal Life
Rosie Waterland has three sisters. She became very close with them as an adult. She also made up with her mother before her mother passed away in 2024.
She met Caleb Bond in 2020 during the pandemic. Their relationship ended in August 2023.
