Roslyn Hill is a very important person who helped create the Alberta Arts District in Portland, Oregon. She started working on this project in the early 1990s. Many people call her "The Queen of Alberta Street" because of her big impact on the area.
Roslyn Hill worked with business partners to improve several blocks along Alberta Street. They were pioneers in using cool urban ideas. For example, they added public art and used corrugated metal siding. They mixed these new touches with the old buildings already there.
