Rouble Nagi facts for kids
Rouble Nagi (born 8 July 1980) is an artist from India. She is known for her amazing sculptures, art installations, and paintings. Rouble Nagi started the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation. She also founded the Rouble Nagi Design Studio.
She has created over 800 large wall paintings called murals. She has also held more than 150 art shows. Rouble Nagi is a member of the India Design Council. She was one of the first to start making Mumbai more beautiful. She uses art installations to brighten up the city.
Her newest project is called "Misaal Mumbai." This project is the first to paint houses in slums in India. So far, she has painted over 155,000 houses. The goal is to make these areas look better and be cleaner.
In 2017, Rouble Nagi was the first artist invited to show her art at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum in New Delhi. The President of India chose her work for the museum. She also wrote a book called The Slum Queen, released in 2022. This book shares stories about her work in slums and villages. She helps women in rural Kashmir learn new skills. Nagi was born in 1980 in Jammu & Kashmir, India. She studied political science in college. Later, she studied fine art at the Slade School of Fine Art in London. She also learned about European Art at Sotheby's London.

In Bandra West, the project painted over 285 houses. These houses are in Jaffar Baba Colony, near Mount Mary. Rouble Nagi and her team worked with local people. Together, they painted and cleaned the slum areas. This project helps make these communities brighter and more welcoming.
