The Royal Logistic Corps Museum is a cool place near Winchester that tells the amazing story of how the British Army has been supplied and supported throughout history. It shows how soldiers got their food, equipment, and everything else they needed, from the famous Battle of Agincourt all the way to today! The museum holds a huge collection from the Royal Logistic Corps (RLC) and other important groups that came before it, like the Royal Corps of Transport and the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. It also includes items from the Royal Pioneer Corps, Army Catering Corps, and the Postal and Courier Section of the Royal Engineers.
History of the Museum
The museum's collection includes many items and old documents from the RLC since it was created. It also has collections from the museums of the Royal Corps of Transport and the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. Plus, you can see objects and archives from the Royal Pioneer Corps and the Army Catering Corps.
The RLC Museum first opened its doors in 1995 at Princess Royal Barracks Deepcut. But in 2021, it moved to its new home at Worthy Down. After a big makeover and redesign, the new RLC Museum is even better! It now has over 50 display cases, showing off many more cool objects than ever before.
What You Can See
The museum has lots of interesting things to explore! Here are just a few:
- The fancy Rolls-Royce car that Field Marshal Montgomery used when he arrived in France right after D-Day.
- Napoleon’s field bakery, which was captured at the Battle of Waterloo. Imagine baking bread for an army on the go!

- Special vehicles and equipment used for bomb disposal.
- Various weapons from different time periods.
- A huge collection of medals, including several very brave Victoria Crosses. You can also see medals won at the famous Battle of Waterloo.
