What is Runcible Jones: The Gate to Nowhere?
This story takes place on an Earth that is much like ours, but with a secret: magic is real! However, using magic is strictly against the rules. The book follows the journey of Runcible Jones, a twelve-year-old boy.
The Story Begins
Runcible's life has been tough. His father was involved in an accident while writing a book about magic. Because of this, Runcible's mother is now in a difficult situation, trying to protect that very book. Even though Runcible finds it hard to make friends, he accidentally becomes close with a girl named Mariam.
A New World and New Friends
One day, something unexpected happens. Runcible's magical powers cause a big accident, and he and Mariam are suddenly sent to a very dangerous new world called Ilitor. To survive in this harsh place, they have to work together. Their adventure becomes even more complicated when they meet a mysterious sorceress. This meeting leads to them being left alone in the wild parts of Ilitor. To get back home to Earth and see their families again, they must rely on help from a tricky character named Sleeth and other new friends (and even some enemies) they meet along the way.
