Ryan Rajendra Black, born on June 10, 1973, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a Canadian actor. He is well-known for playing Silas Crow in the 1994 movie Dance Me Outside and its TV show The Rez.
Ryan Black's Acting Journey
Ryan is a member of the Saulteaux people from the Sagkeeng First Nation. He has appeared in many TV shows like North of 60, Highlander: The Raven, Moccasin Flats, and Cashing In. He also acted in movies such as Cowboys and Indians: The J.J. Harper Story, Elimination Dance, Seven Times Lucky, and Stryker. Ryan also performed on stage in a play called fareWel by Ian Ross.
In 1998, Ryan was nominated for a Gemini Award. This award was for Best Actor in a Drama Series at the 13th Gemini Awards.
Besides acting, Ryan has worked behind the scenes. He was a production coordinator for I, Hostage and I, Alive. He also worked as a second assistant director for 26 episodes of the 2019 reality show My Misdiagnosis.
