Ryuji Sueoka (末岡 龍二, Sueoka Ryuji, born May 22, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He was born on May 22, 1979. Ryuji Sueoka played as a Midfielder. He is known for playing football in many different countries. These include Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and India.
Ryuji Sueoka's Football Journey
Ryuji Sueoka started his professional football career in Japan. He played for a club called Albirex Niigata in the J2 League. This was his first big step into professional football.
In 2004, he moved to Singapore. He played for Albirex Niigata Singapore for one season. He did very well there, scoring 12 goals in 24 games. After that, he went back to his original club in Japan for a short time.
He soon returned to Singapore to play for Geylang United. Later, in 2007, he joined Balestier Khalsa. After his time in Singapore, Ryuji Sueoka moved to Thailand. There, he played for Bangkok United.
Achievements in India
Ryuji Sueoka also played football in India. He joined Mohun Bagan and later Salgaocar. He was very successful in India. In 2011, coaches in the I-League voted him the best player. This was a big honor for him. He also played for Dempo and East Bengal. His last club was Pune.
