About Sab the Artist
His Musical Journey
Sab the Artist first became known as Beyond, and later as Musab. He was part of a music group called Headshots. He also helped start a record label called Rhymesayers Entertainment. This label was created with other artists like Slug, Ant, and Siddiq.
Early Days and New Labels
In 1996, Sab released his first music project, Comparison, under the name Beyond. This was the very first release from the Rhymesayers label. In 1999, he released another project called Be-Sides. That same year, he was part of the group Dynospectrum, which released its first album. In 2002, he released his first studio album as Musab, titled Respect the Life, through Rhymesayers.
In 2007, Sab released an album called Slicks Box. This was special because it was his first project not released by Rhymesayers. Instead, it came out on a different label called Hieroglyphics Imperium Recordings.
Exploring New Sounds
Sab was first known for his hip hop music. However, his more recent projects have explored new sounds. For example, his 2010 EP called Sab the Artist and his 2012 album H.G.H. (Heaven, Girls, Hell) mix different styles. These projects combine "Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, and Electronic sounds." He worked with a group called Ultra Chorus on the H.G.H. album.
