The Museum Building: A Historic Home
The Sabadell Art Museum is located inside a very old house. This house used to belong to a famous person named Pere Turull i Sallent. He was an important businessman during a time when textile factories were very big in Sabadell. He also helped start a bank called Caixa d'Estalvis de Sabadell.
Building History and Changes
The house was built a long time ago, between 1812 and 1819. The city of Sabadell bought the building in 1964. Later, between 1993 and 1997, the building was updated and made ready to be the museum you see today.
