Sakkara (novel) facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Sakkara is an exciting superhero novel written by Michael Carroll. It's the second book in his original New Heroes series. In the United States, this book is called The Gathering, and the whole series is known as Quantum Prophecy.

What's the Story About?

The story begins at Sakkara, a secret research place in the United States. This facility studies superpowers. The young superhumans from the first book, known as the "New Heroes," are back. Their secret identities have been revealed, so they must hide in the US. They hope to stay safe from attacks and public attention.

However, the Sakkara facility isn't secret for long. A supervillain, who used to be a hero, attacks an airport. After causing a lot of trouble, this villain spray-paints "Sakkara" on a wall. Suddenly, the whole world knows the facility's name.

Someone among the "New Heroes" or the older heroes has shared secret information. Everyone is a suspect! More attacks start happening. It becomes clear that the villains are targeting a group called the Trutopians.

Who are the Trutopians?

The Trutopians are a worldwide group. They promise their members safety and fairness. But in return, members have less comfort and freedom. It turns out that Victor Cross, the bad guy from the last novel, is in charge of the Trutopians. He's trying to take over the world!

Discovering Powers and Secrets

As the "New Heroes" face these challenges, they learn more about their own amazing powers. They also find other heroes they didn't know about before. One of the heroes, Colin, discovers something big. He learns that his powers actually came from his mom, Energy, not his dad, Titan.

Later, the heroes find out who was leaking information: it was Yvonne. In the end, a hero named Solomon Cord, also known as Paragon, dies. This sad event happens because of a decision made by Colin.
