Saleisha Stowers was born in Pasadena, California. She grew up in Madera, California, where her grandmother raised her. When she was 14, she went to a special camp called "T-Zone," which was created by supermodel Tyra Banks. The camp was designed to help girls feel more confident and good about themselves.
