Salat al Eid, also called Salat al Eidain, is a special prayer in Islam. Muslims perform this prayer to celebrate two important festivals. These two festivals are together known as Eidain (عيدين) in Arabic.

The two Islamic festivals are:

  • Eid al-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر): This holiday is celebrated on the 1st day of Shawwal. Shawwal is the 10th month in the Islamic calendar.
  • Eid al-Adha (Arabic: عيد الأضحى): This holiday is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah. Dhu al-Hijjah is the 12th month in the Islamic calendar.
