Samuel Oluwaseyi Adegoke is a Nigerian-American actor. He is best known for his role as the brilliant billionaire Jeff Colby in the popular TV show Dynasty.

From Nigeria to America
Sam Adegoke was born in Lagos, Nigeria. When he was a young boy, his family moved to the United States. He grew up in the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. His parents were missionary ministers, and he is the youngest of seven children.
In college, Sam was a very active student. He studied marketing and finance at the University of Minnesota. He was also the president of the Black Student Union and served in the student government.
In 2015, Sam's life changed when he won a big competition. It was the ABC Discovers: Digital Talent Competition. He was chosen as the winner out of more than 7,000 people! Today, he lives in Los Angeles, where many actors work.
A Star on the Rise
Sam Adegoke began his acting career with guest spots on popular TV shows. You might have seen him in Code Black or NCIS: Los Angeles.
Major Roles
In 2017, he played Javon Beard, the bodyguard for Michael Jackson, in the TV movie Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland.
That same year, he landed his most famous role. He was cast as Jeff Colby in the new version of Dynasty. Sam had a great idea for his character. He suggested that Jeff Colby should be Nigerian, just like him. The show's creators loved the idea. This allowed the show to include Nigerian culture and the Yoruba language in some scenes.
Movie Projects
In 2021, Sam starred in the movie This Is Not a War Story. He played Will Larue, a soldier dealing with his experiences after returning from war.
Sam enjoyed working with the director, Talia Lugacy, so much that they decided to work together again. They are developing a new movie called Dark Days & the Dawn. Sam said that working on This Is Not a War Story was one of the most important experiences of his life.
In 2024, Sam appeared in the Peacock series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.
