Santo Tomé is a city located in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is very close to the capital city, Santa Fe, only about 9 kilometers away. In 2010, the city had about 65,684 people living there. Today, the population is estimated to be around 80,000. Santo Tomé is known as a second-category municipality, which means it's an important local government area.
History of Santo Tomé
The town of Santo Tomé was officially started in 1872 by the government of the province. Many years later, on April 12, 1962, it became a city. This was a big step for the community.
