Saron is a very small place in Trinity County, Texas, United States. It used to be a busy town centered around a sawmill. Today, it is a quiet farming community with only a few people living there. Saron is located about eight miles from the town of Groveton.
What Was Saron?
Saron was once known as a "sawmill town." This means its main business was cutting down trees and turning them into lumber at a sawmill. The town was situated along Texas Highway 94, which made it easy to transport the lumber.
