Sascha Pohflepp (born January 30, 1978 – died June 17, 2019) was a German artist, designer, and writer. He was known for his work that looked at how technology affects our planet and environment. He often worked with scientists and other artists to explore these important ideas.

About Sascha Pohflepp's Life
Sascha Pohflepp was born in Cologne, Germany. He studied art and design at the Berlin University of the Arts. He earned his diploma there in 2006. One of his teachers was the media artist Joachim Sauter.
He also studied for a short time in Paris at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. Later, in 2009, he earned his master's degree in Design Interactions. This was from the Royal College of Art in London, UK.
Exploring New Ideas
In 2015, Sascha Pohflepp started working on his PhD. He studied at the University of California, San Diego. His research looked at how design could be "post-rational." This means thinking about design in new ways, beyond just logic.
He explored how humans and technology connect. He also thought about the Anthropocene. This is the current time when human activities greatly affect the Earth. His ideas were shaped by his studies at the Center for Academic Research & Training in Anthropogeny (CARTA).
