Satoshi Nagano (長野 聡, Nagano Satoshi, born August 2, 1982) is a Japanese football player. He was born in Saigawa, Fukuoka, Japan. Satoshi played as a defender, a player who helps protect the team's goal. He played for many different teams in Japan and Thailand during his career.
Satoshi Nagano's Football Journey
Satoshi Nagano started playing football when he was young. He played for Fukuoka Daiichi High School from 1998 to 2000. After high school, he continued to play football at Fukuoka University from 2001 to 2004. These years helped him become a skilled player.
Playing in Japan
Satoshi began his professional career in 2005. His first team was Avispa Fukuoka. They played in the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football league. In 2006, Avispa Fukuoka moved up to the J1 League, the top league in Japan.
During 2006, Satoshi also played for Tokyo Verdy for a short time. He joined them on a loan, which means he played for them temporarily. After that, he returned to Avispa Fukuoka. He stayed with them until 2009.
From 2010 to 2012, Satoshi played for Giravanz Kitakyushu. This team also played in the J2 League. He was an important part of their defense during these years.
Playing in Thailand
In 2013, Satoshi Nagano moved to Thailand. He joined a team called Nakhon Ratchasima F.C.. They are often called "Swat Cat." He played for them for four years, until 2016. This was a big move for him, playing football in a different country.
In 2017, Satoshi played for another Thai team, Bangkok F.C.. He continued to show his skills as a defender. Throughout his career, Satoshi played in over 280 professional games. He scored 10 goals, which is good for a defender. Defenders usually focus on stopping goals, not scoring them!
