Schartner Bombe is a well-known fizzy drink from Austria. It's made by a company called Starzinger in a town called Frankenmarkt. This drink comes in many exciting flavors like cherry, cola, orange, lemon, raspberry, and even pineapple! You can find it in plastic bottles, glass bottles, and cans.
The name "Schartner Bombe" means "a bomb from Scharten" in English. It got this name because it was first made using water from a special spring near the village of Scharten. Also, the very first bottles looked a bit like bombs!

The Story of Schartner Bombe
A Special Spring Discovered
The story of Schartner Bombe began in 1905. That year, a natural spring was found in a small village called Leppersdorf, which is part of the area known as Scharten.
The Idea for a Fizzy Drink
In 1926, a person named Otto Burger had a brilliant idea. He thought, "What if we add fruit syrup to this special spring water?" So, he did just that and started selling it as "Schartner Bombe." The unique, round shape of the first bottles also helped give it the "bomb" part of its name.
Growing Through the Years
The brand was officially registered in 1927. Even during tough times like the Great Depression, people kept buying Schartner Bombe. After Otto Burger passed away in 1940, another company took over the brand.
In the 1960s, a brewery bought Schartner Bombe. They really helped it grow! In 1969, they built a huge factory with the world's largest machine for filling bottles. This helped them make a lot more drinks. From 1975 onwards, they started using local water from Bad Hall.
A New Beginning with Starzinger
Over the years, the ownership of Schartner Bombe changed a few times. Finally, in 1995, the company Starzinger took over. At that time, not many people were buying the drink. But Starzinger worked hard to make it popular again, and they succeeded!
