Scott Cane is an Australian expert who studies old things and people. He is an archaeologist, meaning he digs up and studies things from the past. He is also an anthropologist, which means he studies human societies and cultures.
He spent a long time living with Indigenous people in the Australian desert. Some of these groups were among the last hunter-gatherers. Hunter-gatherers are people who find their food by hunting animals and gathering plants, rather than farming.
Scott Cane wrote a book called Pila Nguru: The Spinifex People. He also appeared in a TV show called First Footprints on ABC TV in 2013. He wrote a book with the same name as the TV show. The TV show won a special award called the Walkley Award in 2013. This award was for being an excellent documentary.
