Sean Martin Slaughter, born on May 4, 1976, is an American musician who makes Christian hip hop music. He started creating hip hop music in 1991. However, his first official album was released in 1999. Since then, he has released eight studio albums. These include ...And Justice for All (1999) and The World Is Not Enough (2001). Other albums are Slaughter Music Presents...the Dungeon Underground Classics, Chapter 1 (2002) and Die Another Day (2005). He also released Just Add Water (2006), Man on Fire (2008), The Prototype (2010), and Prototype 2 (2014).
Early Life and Education
Sean Martin Slaughter was born in Queens, New York City, New York, on May 4, 1976. He grew up in Queens and Brooklyn. His father is Alvin Slaughter, a well-known musician. Sean has shared that his relationship with his father was sometimes difficult because his father was often away. When his father was home, Sean was not very interested in church or his father's music.
Sean graduated from Warwick Valley High School in Warwick, New York, in 1994. After high school, he went to college. He earned a full football scholarship to the University of Rhode Island. There, he studied business marketing. However, he lost his scholarship because his grades were not high enough. After this, he decided to focus on producing hip-hop music. Sean has mentioned that he produced five songs for M.M.O., a group connected to the Wu-Tang Clan, during this time.
He later studied audio engineering and received a diploma from the Institute of Audio Research in 1997. Sean continued his education, earning a bachelor's degree from Regent University in 2010. This degree was in organizational leadership and management. In 2016, he earned his master's degree in education from Liberty University. Sean became a Christian in 1999, which was before he began his hip-hop music career focused on his faith.
Music Journey
Sean Slaughter's music career officially began in 1991. His first studio album, ...And Justice for All, came out in 1999. Two years later, in 2001, he released his next album, The World Is Not Enough. In 2002, he released his third album, Slaughter Music Presents...the Dungeon Underground Classics, Chapter 1.
His fourth studio album, Die Another Day, was released in 2005. The next year, 2006, Sean released Just Add Water with Mona J. In 2008, he released Man on Fire. His seventh album, The Prototype, came out in 2010. The follow-up album, Prototype 2, was released in 2014.

Sean Slaughter is the executive director of the Y.H. Thomas Community Center. He is married to Kimtrese. They have two daughters named Lyric and Jazz.
