Secret Adventures is a fun American TV series made for kids and families. It was created by George Taweel and Rob Loos. The show came out between 1993 and 1995 on VHS tapes. There are seven half-hour episodes in total.

The series is about a teenager named Drea Thomas. She has a super active imagination! Drea often babysits two younger kids, Rebecca and Matt. Together, they learn important life lessons. In each episode, they go on a "secret adventure." During these adventures, they magically turn into animated characters. This helps them understand the lesson of the day.

What is Secret Adventures About?

The show takes place in a fictional town called Hampton Falls, New Jersey. It's like a stand-in for Princeton, New Jersey. The local students go to Hampton Falls Junior High School. Mrs. Joan Long is the school Principal.

Drea Thomas is in seventh grade with her friends Kim and George. She also deals with rivals like Arlene and Marcy. Drea babysits Mrs. Long's two kids, Rebecca and Matt, who are in elementary school.

Drea's Grandpa often helps explain the main lesson of each episode. Drea also talks to her "E.D." (electronic diary) to share her thoughts. The "secret adventure" part is a short cartoon. Drea, Rebecca, and Matt become animated characters, often talking animals. They face situations that help them understand the episode's lesson. It's like their imaginations come to life!

For example, in the episode "Spin," Drea runs for class president. She thinks about lying to win. Meanwhile, Matt accidentally ruins his dad's music and tries to hide it. In their secret adventure, they become fish. They learn how lies can cause problems. This helps both Drea and Matt decide to tell the truth.

At the end of each episode, Drea and Grandpa talk about the lesson. Sometimes, Grandpa connects the lesson to Christian ideas.

Drea's imagination is so strong that everyday objects seem to come alive. Her Toaster, for example, can talk to her! Only Drea, Rebecca, and Matt can see these animated objects.
