How Does the SMN Collect Weather Data?

To make accurate predictions, the SMN needs lots of information! They use many tools and methods to collect data from all over Mexico:

• Weather Balloons: These balloons carry small devices called radiosondes high into the sky. The radiosondes send back information about the air's temperature, pressure, and humidity at different heights.
