Early Life and Education
Shane Morigeau went to college and studied law. He earned degrees from the Alexander Blewett III School of Law at the University of Montana. He also studied at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. These schools helped him learn about laws and how government works.
Becoming a Politician
Shane Morigeau started his political career in the Montana House of Representatives. This is a group of people who represent different areas of Montana. He was a member of the Democratic Party. He served for District 95 from 2017 until 2021.
In 2020, Shane Morigeau tried to become the state auditor. This job involves checking how the state's money is spent. He won the Democratic Party's support for this role. However, he did not win the main election against another candidate.
Soon after that election, a state senator named Nate McConnell stepped down. A state senator is someone who helps make laws in the state's Senate.
