Share Our Strength is a group in the United States that works to stop kids from being hungry. They also help families who are struggling. They raise money in many ways, like through cooking events and online campaigns. This money helps find lasting solutions to hunger. Companies also help by giving money, which makes their efforts even bigger. Share Our Strength runs a big program called No Kid Hungry.

How Share Our Strength Started

Share Our Strength was created in 1984. A brother and sister, Billy and Debbie Shore, started it. They still lead the group today. It began in a small office in Washington, D.C. From the very start, they wanted to find long-term ways to solve big problems. In the early years, Share Our Strength mostly raised money. They then gave this money to other groups that also helped people.
