Share Our Strength is a national organization in the United States. It works to end childhood hunger and poverty. They raise money through special cooking events, donations from people, and social media. This money helps find lasting solutions to hunger. Companies also help by sponsoring their work, which makes their efforts even bigger. Share Our Strength runs a big campaign called No Kid Hungry.

How Share Our Strength Started

Share Our Strength was created in 1984. A brother and sister, Billy and Debbie Shore, started it. They still lead the organization today. It began in a small office on Capitol Hill. From the very start, the group wanted to find long-term ways to solve big problems. In its early years, Share Our Strength mainly focused on raising money. They gave all the money to other non-profit groups.
