Sharolta Louisa Nonen, born on December 30, 1977, is a Canadian former soccer defender. She is now a women's soccer coach for the Florida International University Panthers.
Sharolta played college soccer for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. She was the first player in their history to be named an All-American three times. She was also the first Big 12 Player of the Year for the program.
In her professional career, she played for several teams. With the Atlanta Beat in the Women's United Soccer Association, she was an All-Star. She was also named one of the top three defenders in the WUSA. She was an All-Star player for Fortuna Hjørring in the Danish League. She helped them achieve their first first-place finish in over 10 years.
As a player-coach for the Atlanta Silverbacks, she led the team to one of its best finishes ever. She was also an All-Star with FC Indiana. In 2009, she was part of the National Championship team with Los Angeles Sol.
Sharolta was also a key member of the Canadian National Team. She played in the 1999 and 2003 World Cups. In both tournaments, she was named to the All-Tournament team. This means she was one of the top 11 players in the Women's World Cup. She was also chosen twice to start in the All-World Team games in 2001 and 2003.
