Sheila K. McCullagh facts for kids
Sheila Kathleen McCullagh (born December 3, 1920 – died July 7, 2014) was a British author. She was known for writing many children's books, especially fantasy and educational stories. She even received an MBE, which is a special award from the United Kingdom.
Sheila McCullagh's first books came out in the 1950s. One of her most popular and successful series was Puddle Lane. These books were so loved that they were even made into a television show! The TV show had original music and starred Neil Innes.
Sheila McCullagh traveled a lot and spent many years teaching in Canada. She explored many different parts of the world. She was also a dedicated member of the Anglican Church. After living in Cornwall and then retiring in Bath, she moved to a care home in Wiltshire. She passed away on July 7, 2014, in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, at 93 years old.
