Shimako Satō (佐藤嗣麻子, Satō Shimako) is a talented Japanese film director and screenwriter. She was born in 1964. She is well-known for directing movies like Eko Eko Azarak: Wizard of Darkness (1995) and K-20: Legend of the Mask (2008). Her husband is the famous filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki.

Shimako Satō was born in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. She first studied at the Asagaya College of Art and Design. Later, she went to the London International Film School to learn more about making movies. This helped her become a skilled director and writer.
