How to Play Silent Ball
Getting Started
Players begin the game standing up. One player starts with a ball. They throw the ball to any other standing player. The person who gets the ball must catch it.
What Makes You Out?
If a player drops the ball when it is thrown to them, they are "out." If a player talks at any time during the game, they are also "out." When you are out, you must sit down on the floor.
The Goal of the Game
Players who are sitting down are allowed to talk. They can try to distract the standing players. The game continues until only one player is left standing. That player wins the game!
Game Variations
There are different ways to play Silent Ball. You can add or change some rules. This can make the game more interesting or challenging.
Coming Back In
Sometimes, players who are "out" can rejoin the game. If a seated player is able to catch a ball that is thrown, they can stand up again. This allows more players to stay in the game longer.
Fair Play Rules
If a player throws the ball badly, they might be out. This means throwing it inaccurately or in a way that is too aggressive. This rule encourages players to throw carefully and fairly.
Other Adaptations
Some versions of the game do not let players throw the ball back to the person who just threw it to them. This is true unless only two players are left in the game. Also, some games might have a time limit. Players must throw the ball within a certain time.
