After a season without winning any titles in 1985, Silvia moved to TSV Siegen. This club had its most successful years while Silvia was playing there. She helped them win six national championships and five DFB-Pokal cups. Silvia retired from playing football after the 1996 season.
Playing for Germany's National Team
Silvia Neid also played for the German national team. Her first game was on November 10, 1982, against Switzerland. She scored two goals in that match, with her first goal coming just one minute after she entered the game!
Silvia won the UEFA Women's Championship three times in a row. These wins were in 1989, 1991, and 1995. She also reached the final of the 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup. Her last game as a player was at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where Germany played against Brazil.
