About Simone Rethel
Simone Rethel comes from a family of artists and designers. Her father, Alfred Rethel, was a painter and designer. Her grandfather, Walter Rethel, was famous for designing aircraft.
Her Acting Career
Simone began acting when she was still a student in 1965. She played a main role in the film Die fromme Helene. After finishing school, she took acting lessons. She made her first stage appearance in 1966 in Munich.
She often acted in popular plays known as "boulevard theatre." She also appeared in many well-known German television series. Some of these include Der Kommissar, Derrick, and The Old Fox.
Her Personal Life
Simone Rethel was married to the actor Johannes Heesters. They were married from 1992 until his passing in 2011.
