When he was about 15 years old, in 1686, Arthur went to Christ Church, Oxford University. This was a common path for young men from important families.

Becoming a Baronet

On August 8, 1706, Sir Arthur became the 3rd Baronet. He took over this title after his father, Sir John Kaye, passed away. A baronet is a special title, like a knight, that can be passed down in a family.
