Early Life and Family
Nicholas Morice was born in 1681. He was the oldest son of Sir William Morice, 1st Baronet, who was also a Member of Parliament (MP). His mother was Elizabeth Reynell. When his father died in 1690, Nicholas became the 2nd Baronet.
At 17 years old, in 1698, he started studying at Exeter College, Oxford University. In 1704, he married Lady Catherine Herbert. Her father was Thomas Herbert, 8th Earl of Pembroke, a very important person.
Political Career
Sir Nicholas Morice became a Member of Parliament (MP) for Newport, a town in Cornwall. He was elected in several general elections:

In the 1715 election, he was elected as a member of the Tory party. He often disagreed with the government's plans. He was elected again in the 1722 general election.

Sir Nicholas Morice passed away on January 27, 1726. He had one son and two daughters with his wife, Lady Catherine. His son, Sir William Morice, 3rd Baronet, took over the baronetcy and inherited Werrington Park after him.
