Solís is a lovely beach town, also known as a balneario, located in the southeastern part of Uruguay. It's a popular spot in the Maldonado Department for people looking to enjoy the coast and relax.

Where is Solís?
Solís is right on the coast of the Río de la Plata, which is a very wide river that looks like the ocean! It's easy to get to, as it's located along Route 10, a main road. This road is also close to the Ruta Interbalnearia, another important highway.
To the west of Solís, you'll find the Arroyo Solís Grande stream. This stream forms a natural border with the Costa de Oro area, which is part of the Canelones Department. On its eastern side, Solís shares a border with another resort called Bella Vista.
