The Southwestern Moundbuilders are the sports teams from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. They are part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), which is a group of colleges that compete in sports. The Moundbuilders play in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).

The Southwestern Moundbuilders have achieved many great things in sports!
Championship Wins
- They have won a lot of championships! Since 1960, they've won 143 titles in 10 different sports in their conference, the KCAC.
- Recently, they won seven KCAC championships in sports like softball, men's golf, men's and women's track, men's basketball, and men's and women's cross country.
- The football team won their conference championships three years in a row: 1997, 1998, and 1999.
- The men's basketball team won their conference tournament and made it to the national tournament.
- Their men's cross country and men's and women's golf teams won regional titles, which helped them go to national competitions.
National Recognition
- In 2004, both the women's and men's track teams had athletes who became national champions!
- In 2004, the women's basketball team made it to the "Sweet 16" round of the national tournament.
- In 2006, Southwestern College was ranked 77th out of almost 300 schools in the NAIA for how well all their sports teams did overall.
- A Southwestern College athlete was even featured in Sports Illustrated magazine in 2006!
Smart Athletes
- Many of their athletes are super smart! For example, in 2005-2006, 15 of them were named "NAIA All-America Scholar-Athletes" for having great grades.
- Since 1981, over 170 athletes have been named NAIA All-America Scholar Athletes. This is a special honor for athletes who have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher – that's super impressive!
Other Great Moments
- The women's tennis and cross country teams were runners-up in their regional competitions in 2005-2006.
- In 2003, both the men's and women's soccer teams made it to the semi-finals of their conference tournament.
