Spider is a fun British TV show for kids. It's a musical series made by Hibbert Ralph Entertainment for the BBC. The show first aired on BBC One from September 26 to December 30, 1991.
The series follows the exciting adventures of a little spider and a young boy. Most of the stories feature both characters. What makes the show special is that all the stories are told through songs!
The songs were sung by Jeff Stevenson, with his children, Casey and Holly, singing in the background. The music styles in the episodes were very different, from rock 'n roll to more calm and thoughtful tunes. Rick Cassman produced all the music.
A video of all thirteen episodes called Spider! – I'm Only Scary 'cos I'm Hairy! was released in 1992. Later, in 2004, the series was also released on DVD.

There are 13 episodes in the Spider series. Each episode is like a short musical story. They were first shown on BBC One as part of the Children's BBC programs.
The series was repeated many times after 1992. It was even shown again as part of another children's show called Ants in Your Pants in 1995.
