Splash Moraine: What Was There?
Fun Water Rides and More!
Splash Moraine had many exciting things to do. Here are some of the attractions that were at the park:
- A huge 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m2) wave pool, perfect for splashing around like you're at the beach!
- Two tall 25-foot (7.6 m) tube water slides for exciting rides.
- A special 4,000-square-foot (370 m2) area just for little kids.
- A relaxing 700-foot lazy river where you could float along with free tubes.
- Beyond the water, there was also a sand volleyball court and a basketball court for dry fun.
- You could also grab snacks and drinks at the park's concession stands.
The park also hosted cool events throughout the year. One of the most popular events was "Soggy Doggy Day." On this special day, the pool was open only for dogs and their owners to swim and play together!
The city decided to keep the park closed after 2009 because of budget cuts.
