Spot On (TV programme) facts for kids
Spot On was a popular New Zealand children's television show. It aired every week from 1973 to 1988. The show was a lot like the famous British TV programme Blue Peter.
Each week, three presenters would take young viewers on exciting adventures. They would explore different jobs, events, or sports to show kids what they were all about. Imagine learning about firefighting, flying in a rescue helicopter, or even visiting a chocolate factory! They also did cool things like rock climbing and abseiling, and sometimes even traveled to other countries. The half-hour show also included fun sketches and interviews done in the studio.
About the Show
Spot On was produced by TVNZ. For most of its run, it was made at their studios in Dunedin. However, the last two seasons were produced at the TVNZ Studio 4 facility in Christchurch. Usually, one of the three presenters would change each year, bringing new faces and ideas to the show.
