About St. Paul's Church
St. Paul's Parish Church is found at the corner of Washington and Florence Streets. It is west of downtown Malden's main shopping area. The church is a large, two-story building made of gray stone. It is built in a style called Gothic Revival.

The main entrance of the church faces Florence Street. It has a big, arched doorway, just like you might see in an old castle. Above the entrance are two tall, pointed windows. Smaller pointed windows are on each side of the doorway. The church also has strong buttresses on its outer walls. These help support the building.

How the Church Started
The group of people who started this church first came together in 1861. They officially formed their church in 1867. At first, they met in different halls around the area. Their very first church building was built nearby in 1872.
A New Building for a Growing Church
As more and more people joined the church, they needed a bigger place to worship. This led to the building of the current church in 1913. The older church building from 1872 is still used today. It now serves as the church's parish house, which is like a community center for the church.
