St Anne's Church in Cefn Hengoed, South Wales, is a building that used to be a church for the Church in Wales. It is no longer used for church services.

History of St Anne's Church

St Anne's Church was built in 1939. Before the church was built, a man named Reverend John Owen Williams started a Sunday school in a small house in Cefn Hengoed in 1931. This Sunday school grew and led to the building of the church. Next to the church, there is an old air raid shelter. This shelter was built during World War II to protect people from bombs.

Why the Church Closed

In 2010, the church needed money for repairs and updates. However, by 2015, the church was no longer in use. The building and some land next to it were put up for sale. The starting price for the property was £150,000.
