What Was Stroderville?

Stroderville was a place where people once lived, but it is no longer an active town. It's like a town that has disappeared from modern maps. The official government list of places, called the GNIS, still records it as a place that was once populated.

A Short History of Stroderville

This small community had its own post office for a time. The Stroderville post office first opened its doors in 1870. It served the local residents for nearly two decades. The post office eventually closed down in 1889. The community itself was named after one of the first people to settle in the area, a man named William Stroder.
