Sumida, Tokyo facts for kids
Sumida (墨田区, Sumida-ku) is a special area, like a borough or district, in the big city of Tokyo, Japan. It's one of 23 such special areas that make up Tokyo. In 2015, about 256,274 people lived there.
About Sumida Ward
Sumida Ward was created on March 15, 1947. It was formed when two older areas, called Honjo and Mukojima, joined together. This made Sumida a new and important part of Tokyo.
