Supergame facts for kids
The Supergame (which is called Supermatchen in Swedish) is a special yearly soccer event. It takes place at a stadium called Nya Ullevi in the city of Gothenburg, which is in Sweden. The very first Supergame was played in 2012.
This event usually happens in July or August. It's a match between two really good soccer clubs. Even though it's mostly a friendly game (meaning it doesn't count for league points), many people pay attention because big teams play in it. If a game ends in a tie, they use penalty shootouts to decide who wins. This means players take turns trying to score goals from a special spot against the goalkeeper.
