Supreme Commander facts for kids

Supreme Commander is an exciting real-time strategy computer game. In this type of game, you build bases and command armies against other players or the computer, all happening at the same time without taking turns.

The game was created by a well-known game designer named Chris Taylor and his company, Gas Powered Games. Many fans consider Supreme Commander to be like a modern version or "spiritual successor" to an earlier game Taylor made in 1997, called Total Annihilation. This means it shares many ideas and feelings with the older game, but with new features and graphics.

The first time people heard about Supreme Commander was in the August 2005 issue of PC Gamer magazine. The game was officially released on February 16, 2007, in Europe and then on February 20, 2007, in North America.

Supreme Commander also has an expansion pack called Forged Alliance. An expansion pack adds new content, like missions, units, or features, to the original game.
