Takaaki Tokushige (徳重 隆明, Tokushige Takaaki, born February 18, 1975) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a midfielder during his career.

Takaaki Tokushige's Football Journey
Takaaki Tokushige was born in Satsumasendai, Japan, on February 18, 1975. After finishing high school, he started his football career in 1993.
Starting in the Lower Leagues
He joined a team called Nippon Denso (later known as Denso) in 1993. This team played in the Regional Leagues, which are lower-level football leagues in Japan.
In 1996, his team, Denso, was good enough to be promoted (moved up) to a higher league called the Japan Football League. Takaaki played in many matches each season. In 2001, he had a fantastic year, scoring 25 goals in 28 games. This made him the top scorer in the Japan Football League that year!
Playing in the J.League
In 2002, Takaaki moved to Cerezo Osaka. This team had just been relegated (moved down) to the J2 League, which is the second-highest professional football league in Japan. However, Cerezo Osaka quickly bounced back and was promoted to the top league, the J1 League, at the end of the 2002 season.
Takaaki played many games for Cerezo Osaka as both a forward and a midfielder. He helped the team for several seasons in the J1 League. But in 2006, Cerezo Osaka was relegated back to the J2 League.
Moving to New Teams
In 2007, Takaaki joined another J2 League team, Kyoto Sanga FC. He became a regular player for them, usually playing as a left midfielder. His new team also had a great season and was promoted to the J1 League by the end of 2007. However, in 2008, he didn't get to play as much.
In 2009, he moved to Tokushima Vortis, another team in the J2 League. He was a regular player in his first year there. Even though he played less often from 2010 onwards, he still appeared in many matches each season.
Retirement from Professional Football
In 2013, Takaaki Tokushige moved to Nagoya SC, a team in the Regional Leagues. He played for them for two seasons. At the end of the 2014 season, Takaaki decided to retire from playing professional football.
