Takashi Rakuyama (楽山 孝志, born August 11, 1980) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder for several clubs in Japan, Russia, and China during his career.

Early Life and Education

Takashi Rakuyama was born in Uozu, Toyama, Japan, on August 11, 1980. He attended Shimizu Commercial High School from 1996 to 1998. After high school, he continued his education and played football at Chukyo University from 1999 to 2002.

Football Career Highlights

Starting in Japan

Takashi Rakuyama began his professional football journey in 2003. He joined JEF United Chiba, a club in Japan's top league, the J1 League. He quickly started getting chances to play. By 2006, he was a regular midfielder for the team.

During his time with JEF United Chiba, the team achieved great success. They won the J.League Cup twice in a row. These victories happened in 2005 and 2006.

Moving to Sanfrecce Hiroshima

In July 2008, Rakuyama moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. This club was in the J2 League, which is Japan's second-tier league. He often played as a substitute midfielder, coming off the bench to help his team.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima also had a very successful year. They won the 2008 J2 League season. This win meant the team was promoted back to the J1 League for the next season.

Playing Abroad

In 2010, Takashi Rakuyama decided to play football outside of Japan. He joined FC Khimki, a club in the Russian First Division. He played 12 matches for them.

The following year, in 2011, he moved to China. He signed with Shenzhen Ruby, a team in the Chinese Super League. Even though the club later moved down to League One, Rakuyama continued to play many games for them. He played for Shenzhen Ruby until the end of the 2013 season.

Retirement

Takashi Rakuyama retired from professional football at the end of the 2013 season. He had a career that spanned over a decade, playing in three different countries.
