Takenori Hayashi's Football Journey
Takenori Hayashi was born in Nara, Japan, on October 14, 1980. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career.
Starting with JEF United
In 1999, Takenori joined a top Japanese football club called JEF United Ichihara. This club later changed its name to JEF United Chiba. Even in his first year, he played in many games. He often came into the game as a substitute forward, helping his team.
His team, JEF United, did very well during his first time there. They finished in third place in the J1 League in both 2001 and 2003. A big moment for the club was winning the 2005 J.League Cup in 2005. This was a major championship for them.
Moving to Other Clubs
In 2006, Takenori moved to another team called Kyoto Purple Sanga, which later became Kyoto Sanga FC. He continued to play many matches as a substitute forward. However, his new team had a tough year and finished at the bottom of the league.
In 2007, he went to Júbilo Iwata for a short time on loan. A loan means he played for them temporarily. He didn't get to play as many games there. In 2008, he returned to Kyoto Sanga FC and played many matches over the next two seasons.
Returning to JEF United and Final Years
Takenori went back to his first club, JEF United Chiba, in 2010. However, he didn't play as much as he used to during this second period with the team.
In 2012, he tried playing football in Thailand for a club called BEC Tero Sasana. But by July 2012, he returned to Japan. He joined Oita Trinita, a team in the J2 League, which is the second division of Japanese football.
Oita Trinita finished sixth in the league that year. This meant they qualified for the promotion playoff, a special competition to try and move up to the J1 League. In the final match of this playoff, Takenori scored a winning goal in the 86th minute! This important goal helped Oita Trinita get promoted to the J1 League for the 2013 season.
Takenori Hayashi retired from playing professional football at the end of the 2013 season.
