Takumi Shima (島 卓視, Shima Takumi, born 3 October 1967) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which means he was a player who tried to score goals for his team. He spent his entire professional career playing for the club that is now known as Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Takumi Shima's Football Journey
Takumi Shima was born in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan, on October 3, 1967. After finishing high school, he joined a football club called Mazda in 1986. This club later changed its name to Sanfrecce Hiroshima.
Playing for Mazda and Sanfrecce Hiroshima
Takumi Shima played many games as a forward for Mazda. In 1987, his team did very well in the Emperor's Cup, finishing in second place.
In 1992, a new and exciting football league called the J1 League was started in Japan. Sanfrecce Hiroshima joined this new league. Takumi Shima continued to play for them. In 1994, his team had a fantastic season and finished second in the J1 League.
End of His Career
Sadly, in 1995, Takumi Shima got an injury that stopped him from playing any matches that year. Because of this injury, he decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 1995 season. He was a dedicated player who spent his whole career with one club, scoring goals and helping his team achieve success.
